Alpha-arbutin is a synthetic, more stable form of arbutin that inhibits the activity of cells that synthesize melanin – melanosomes. As a result, it is an effective asset in the fight against hyperpigmentation, lightening age spots and preventing their appearance. In addition to protecting the skin from photoaging, it has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effect.
